Paper talks

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but the paper I used for the backgrounds in my posters is really neat and deserves mention. It's called YUPO paper and it's actually a plastic-ish paper...very different to work with especially when it comes to watercolors. Gives everything a very inky look and it keeps the colors very bright and vibrant. I got mine at Meininger's in Denver, if you can get a hold of some yourself I highly recommend trying it.

Here's a website with a more coherent description than mine

Poster Posts

Here I am again talking about my film! Hehehe I'm just going to keep teasing you guys ....Then eventually the actual film. What I've been doing lately is mostly working on a whole new film and I'm playing around with the idea of blogging the steps I go through as I progress. Kind of a "This is How Sarah Makes a Film" blog. Maybe...

I also made posters for Thistle!

With the latest in accidental reflection technology

I think this one featuring the thistle girl is my fave. The composition turned out nicely I think. Starling poster composition though, not so good.
But I was very happy with the little thistle seeds.

The simplicity of the pigeon poster is exactly as I pictured it! <3

Enough about me. I want to use the rest of this space to do some artist pimping. My good friend Nami of Naminational fame is currently cooking up what is looking to be an awesome web comic. I did a little fan doodle of Tadi, the main character, and her cat familiar.
So you should go give it a read!
