By far my favorite puppet in Thistle, the barn owl. I had such fun making him <3
I really want to frame him against one of the large scale back drops I did, but with so many moving parts and pieces I think I'd have to glue him or sew him all together....kind of a saddening thought.
Woah yeez! 'Tis the season for doodles! I just got my new Bamboo in the mail and soon I'll be getting Corel Painter and THEN I shall finally get to honing my digital art skills. Starting with background paintings.
Close up of a little Scissors/Hammer doodle <3 They're besties
Little random sketches and my new favorite moth girl <3 Thistle had its festival debut on November 5th! It was shown at both the 13th Annual Milwaukee Short Film Festival and the Ferndale Film Festival. So exciting! ....even if I wasn't able to attend. These are the first two of what I hope to be many many more. I'll keep everyone updated as I hear from other festivals.
A doodle I got pretty excited about. Moth girl loves flame person; It's a love that I can get behind!
Sorry about the gap in the updates. I recently got a job that has me waking up at 4 am and I'm still trying to adjust. Maybe I'll try for something Halloween themed soon.
So I don't know if you guys knew, BUT! I sometimes try to make 3 dimensional objects. Above ware my sketch plans for pigeons and below are the prototypes. Unfortunately, I don't get a ton of time to sew, there may be more of these in the future, though, especially now that I have a couple old skirts I'd like to cannibalize.
This guys name is cHrap (pronounced 'trap')
And this is Scone!! I had one more named eerks, but it seems I forgot to take pictures of him. Eerks will come downtown with me for a photo shoot soon.
