Putting sketch back in 'blog'

Sometimes it's hard being a hippo and wanting to fit in with all the cool taller animals

This lady is a character I'm hashing out for a possible weekly comic series. I'm really hoping it gets green-lighted eventually, but until then I practice practice.

Paper talks

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but the paper I used for the backgrounds in my posters is really neat and deserves mention. It's called YUPO paper and it's actually a plastic-ish paper...very different to work with especially when it comes to watercolors. Gives everything a very inky look and it keeps the colors very bright and vibrant. I got mine at Meininger's in Denver, if you can get a hold of some yourself I highly recommend trying it.
